Rongoā Mauri Retreat ~ Lake Okataina ROTORUA

Join me on a Rongoā Mauri Retreat where we will immerse ourselves in the mauri of the ngahere (forest) for deep healing and higher consciousness. Surrounded by the ngahere and on the shores of Lake Okataina it is a perfect sanctuary to hold space.

Plants in their wholeness are a bridge to higher dimensions. They hold light codes that can shift your cells and attune your body to a higher path of consciousness.

Entering the ngahere is like entering your soul. The heart leads the way and there is only the present moment, no past nor future. Prepare to be in awe of the holy ground that lies before you. Karakia provides entry and tīkanga keeps us safe. You will feel the forest as you walk, so vast and expansive, sensing in every direction for miles. You will observe the tohu (signs) and learn to perceive them. This can only be done through the manawa.

Learning how to listen to your body for answers is an essential tool. Your body is a multi-faceted antenna and it helps us to tune in to certain frequencies to receive and give information. We will align with the mauri of Papatūānuku to restore our connection to the tinana (body).  Mirimiri will support your alignment. Rongoā will provide the spiritual nutrients.

When our body is out of tune, plants can re-tune. We have the ability to re-sound back to it with our voice and/or the electromagnetic forces emanating from our heart. Plants combined make music and harmonise with each other therefore shifting and aligning the receiver to the angelic harmonies of rongoā.

Rongoā can be a gateway to expanded consciousness. Higher realms of consciousness are accessible to experience the Truth of our reality. We will be working with specific rākau (plants) to go deeper into ourselves.

Being able to decode the transmission cannot be carried out by using the brain. We cannot use thought to understand the messages. It must be done through the Manawa. Our beliefs and perceptions that we have gathered in our lifetime will certainly try and filter the transmission to suit our own small understanding. Therefore, it is imperative that the vessel be as clean and clear as possible.

Joanne is the founder of Rongoā Mauri. She is a Rongoā Māori healer and has been healing for nearly 20 years. She works with traditional plant medicine and draws upon the ancient traditions and life-force of the ngahere to facilitate healing.

She is an educator, writer, photographer and healer.
