What will you learn?

Receive profound insights, practices and teachings for connecting more deeply to the natural world and harnessing the power of plants for your health, wellbeing and spiritual transformation.

Contemplative study opens our eyes to our deep biological unity and intimate interconnectedness with life.

Through the photosynthetic actions of plants we are directly connected to the sun: we can learn to feel this unity in the metabolic warmth of the body.

This is a specialised course that will support you to understand the rongoā of Hineraumati and Hinetakurua.

There is a total of 20 modules in this wānanga. They are delivered in 3 parts.

Part One is Hineraumati Rongoā I (consists of 5 modules).

Part Two is Hineraumati II (consists of 5 modules).

Part Three is Hinetakurua (consists of 10 modules).

All modules must be completed to be certified under Te Waka Rākau. Each part can be completed at a time that suits you. However, you must remember that each PART is delivered seasonally, during the time of HIneraumati or Hinetakurua.

During the time of Hineraumati, you will study the rongoā of flowering native plants and explore the mauri of the flowers. You will learn how to tune in to the light codes for the deeper message that plants bring to the world. You will learn about vibrational essences and how they work. You will be guided through how the mauri of flower essences work with the resonance of the body and allow rebalancing to occur.

Hinetakurua is the time of wānanga within the body. It's when the light codes of Hinetakurua are profoundly silent and heightened with inner sensory codes. It's when deep healing can be facilitated. The plants step forward to for guidance and support.

As you will be working with the body, it is important to understand basic anatomy and physiology. This course gives an overview of the systems of the body. It also covers the mind-body connection and how emotions and stress affect the physical body, and the chemical changes that occur when the mind is under stress.

This wānanga is unique in that we offer an experienced kairongoā and a qualified Naturopath to guide you throughout the wānanga. We will only be taking a small number of participants
