Immersed in the ngahere with rongoā walks, classroom is surrounded by Te Wao Nui a Tiriwa.
This 2 day workshop is an Introduction to Rongoā Māori and would be suitable for beginners.
It runs from 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.
You will learn:
- tīkanga, the customs & rites observed
- rongoā of specific plants
- how to enter the ngahere with guidance and care
- how to observe tohu of the ngahere
- how to make wairākau, hinu, poultices
