The mauri of the ngahere mirrors the mauri of our own consciousness.
With so much happening in the world, it’s easy for our nervous systems to become overwhelmed or out of balance. Sometimes we simply need a gentle reminder to return to the mauri of Papatūānuku.
For myself, I know that life can become busy and demanding. The ngahere is what restores me, brings me back into balance, and helps me feel renewed. Yet even knowing this, I sometimes need a practice — a simple ritual that reminds me to return and spend time with the forest.
This is how Rongoā Mauri Trails began.
I created these walks as a way to stay connected with the ngahere, and when there are like-minded people it can be a powerful experience. I would love to invite you to join me.
