Come and discover the taste and health benefits of wairākau xx

This is a series of workshop experiences to explore all of our rongoā in our dispensary. We will be delivering these experiences every Thursday from 11:00 am - 11:45 am. Each experience will cover different rongoā, so make sure to attend all of the workshops to expand your rongoā knowledge if you can.  The workshop experience will be delivered by Joanne Hakaraia-Olson,  a Rongoā Practitioner and educator, to share with you the health benefits of rongoā rākau.

In these workshop experiences, you will get to:

  •  - Learn about a wide variety of rongoā
  •  - Learn about the beneficial properties of each rākau and how it can help support your health on a daily basis
  •  - Mix and mingle with like-minded people who love rongoā  and holistic health

Te Waka Rākau is a registered charitable organisation operating as a not-for-profit social enterprise. It was formed in 2016 to bring wāhine and their whanau together to share their stories through the traditional practice of Rongoā Māori. Their stories and healing are shared through the rongoā they create.

Joanne opened The Rongoā Shop & Dispensary with a mission to bridge traditional plant remedies to modern day needs and imbalances.  We are passionate about educating our community about natural health and how it can help to improve the health of our communities.

We are situated at Māoriland Hub, 68 Main Street, Ōtaki.

Please make sure to RSVP as spaces are limited.
