TE WHARE KURA - Awaken the Healer Within (Level One )

Te Whare Kura – Awaken the Healer Within is a two-day experiential wānanga, where the journey into healing begins by turning our attention inward. Before we place our hands upon another, we first learn to know ourselves—to understand the tinana as a sacred vessel and prepare our own whare to receive, hold and participate in healing.

Within the tissues of the body are memories, emotions and experiences that have been carried over time, shaping the landscape of the tinana. As Kaitohu Wairua, we approach healing through the understanding that we are Papatūānuku, and the whaiora beneath our hands is Papatūānuku also. Papatūānuku already knows how to heal herself; she carries an inherent intelligence for restoring balance, supported by her tamariki and the many living relationships within her world.
