TĒNEI AU
Tēnei Au arises from the ancient tauparapara of Tāne, spoken as he ascended through the heavens to retrieve the three baskets of knowledge. Tēnei Au — This is me — is a declaration of presence, identity, and vibrational flow. It speaks to the moment knowledge is not held in the mind, but carried through the body as a living current. In this space, wisdom is not imposed or extracted; it is received, embodied, and returned to the world through breath, movement, and care.
This tea was created in that same spirit. Rather than focusing on one organ or outcome, Tēnei Au supports the body’s shared pathways — blood, lymph, digestion, mineral flow, and vitality — restoring coherence across the whole system. These plants work together as a mirror, reflecting the body back to its own natural intelligence and rhythm. As with Tāne’s journey, this is not about striving upward, but about returning grounded, carrying what has been remembered. Tēnei Au is an offering for those seeking balance, nourishment, and resonance — a gentle reminder that wellbeing is already present when the current is clear.
All of our plants are harvested locally on our whenua. I know where each plant comes from and how it is cared for from harvest through to preparation. Every rongoā is made by hand in small batches, with respect for the plants and the land they come from.
