About
Mauri Kura is a plant-led rongoā immersion designed to nourish the wairua and deepen your relationship with ngā rākau. This online course unfolds slowly and intentionally, guiding you into direct relationship with plants before information is introduced. Learning is experienced through presence, reflection, and sustained engagement, allowing plant wisdom to be felt and embodied rather than memorised. The course is structured around 12 puna (modules), each dedicated to one plant. Participants are invited to spend a minimum of two weeks with each plant, developing whanaungatanga (relationship) through observation, stillness, and daily private journalling. Teaching is layered carefully—beginning with lived experience, then followed by kōrero on how each plant grows for Papatūānuku, its medicinal intelligence, and a pūrākau that carries deeper ancestral knowing. A single, guiding reflective question anchors each puna, supporting insight without directing or imposing meaning. Mauri Kura is both a learning journey and a healing one. As you sit with the plants, their mauri gently entrains your own, bringing awareness to patterns, emotions, and inner movements that are ready to be seen. This course honours personal sovereignty, emotional safety, and choice. It is not a practitioner training, but an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and allow the plants to become mirrors—revealing what is ready to soften, awaken, and be remembered.
