TE WHARE KURA - Awakening the Healer Within (Level 1 )

Te Whare Kura is the first wānanga in the Kaitohu Wairua practitioner pathway, where participants begin preparing themselves as the sacred vessel for healing.

Inspired by the teachings of Tāne Mahuta and the Whare Kura, this workshop explores how the body becomes the whare through which wairua, mauri, and healing intelligence can move.

In this immersive wānanga participants begin strengthening matakitetanga, learning to observe and listen deeply to the mauri of the body through presence and touch.

A central part of this learning is developing the hands as instruments of intuitive knowledge. Through guided practice, participants learn how to sense the language of the body through their hands, noticing areas of tension, heat, density, and subtle movement within the tissues.

Participants are also introduced to practices that help regulate the practitioner’s own state of being — including breathwork and grounding techniques — allowing energy to move through the body with greater clarity…
