Kūmarahou is a well-known rākau of Aotearoa, traditionally prepared as a tea and valued for its strong, bitter nature. It grows in relationship with the land, and when approached with care, offers deep support for balance and clarity within the body.
Our Kūmarahou is harvested purposefully from our whenua, dried gently, and prepared as a loose-leaf tea to honour the integrity of the plant. This is a rongoā best met with respect, presence, and intention.
Kūmarahou is not a tea of sweetness or ease — it is a tea of strength. Its bitterness invites slowing down, tuning in, and acknowledging the body as a whole system rather than isolated parts.
