TE ARA TAPU
The Sacred Path
RESTORE | REVITALISE | REMEMBER
Te Ara Tapu is a one day forest healing retreat for wāhine (women) navigating stress, anxiety, and trauma.
Wāhine are gently guided to return to the sacred mauri of Papatūānuku, the living heartbeat of Earth Mother, as a portal for deep remembrance, healing, and self-discovery. Through the embrace of the forest and the teachings of Rongoā Māori, wāhine are invited to reconnect with the ancient rhythms of the natural world — to slow down, to listen, and to feel.
In this sacred space, the forest becomes more than a place; it becomes a mirror for the soul, reflecting what is ready to be released and what longs to be reclaimed. As wāhine walk gently upon the whenua, they are supported to restore their wairua, regulate their nervous system, and remember the innate wisdom held in their own bodies — all while being nurtured by the presence of Papatūānuku herself.
Trees are sacred symbols and represent a deep connection to the earth and embodies the wisdom of generations. They are reflections of who you are and with Joanne's guidance, you'll embark on a journey that blends traditional Māori knowledge with modern healing techniques.
Her approach is deeply rooted in respect for the land and its natural rhythms, allowing you to experience the forest's magic on a profound level.
